Rolf Neuweiler, Founder of a2z CFO, has more than 30 years of financial management experience, both domestic and international. Rolf was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and is of Swiss Heritage. He graduated from U.C. Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Rolf enjoys traveling, dancing, skiing, and hiking.

Rolf loves challenges. He is by nature conceptual, structured, result-oriented. His core values for his practice are: honesty, ethics, hard work, fair value. He works well in difficult situations and has a calming demeanor. He makes the problems easy to solve for clients.

With more than 30 years of diverse financial experience, Rolf protects, strengthens and advances small to mid-sized businesses, non-profit organizations and family offices. He helped to double a business revenue within three years. Being part of a company’s growth is his goal, mission, and joy. For 10 years, Rolf has been an independent CFO and consultant, serving his clients with his prior financial executive experience in various industries.

For small to mid-sized companies such as Red & White Fleet in San Francisco, he restructured their financing and accounting functions; hired, trained and supervised accounting staff, and strengthened their financial systems. Rolf worked for a $12 billion mutual fund company, owned by the Princely Family of Liechtenstein, managing its North American audit function. Rolf has Big 4 CPA firm experience with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Switzerland, Washington D.C., and San Francisco.

Family Offices:

Rolf lead a wealthy family out of financial trouble after an employee theft. As an outsourced family-office finance and accounting expert, he restructured the matriarchs’ wealth so she could enjoy her last years of life in peace knowing her financial house was in order. As a Senior Vice President at Wells Fargo, he built and managed the national Financial Administration practice, serving wealthy individuals with at least $100 million net worth.

Non-profit:

As an operational CFO for the Bay Area Discovery Museum, he increased the Museum’s Charity Navigator score from 1 to almost 4 in three years, by reviewing and correcting a flawed accounting practice. Rolf also helped the Museum grow from $4 million to $7 million.
